Can Google Ads data-driven attribution be used with a CRM?

Answer

Google Ads API supports two types of attribution: internal, when Google Ads decides how to attribute conversion, and external, when it’s attributed externally. While we perform our own attribution to determine click id/customer details when we receive a conversion from CRM, we then send it to the Google Ads API as an internally attributable (internally from the Google Ads perspective). Google Ads will then attribute it to one or more clicks depending on the attribution settings of the Conversion Action you’re using – if Data-driven Attribution is selected, it will apply, for example.
